- The plan is the view from above the solid.

- These can be drawn on normal paper.
Common misconception
The plan and elevations should look exactly the same on squared paper as they do on a solid drawn on isometric paper.
The grid lines on the two types of paper are not the same which is why there is a visual difference. The measurements for each line however have not changed.
