- Maps and fieldwork can help us identify key features and where they are.
- Marshes are low-lying, wet places near rivers and coasts, that often flood, and they attract a range of wildlife.
- People do lots of different jobs: some need to be done wherever you live and some are unique to a locality.
Common misconception
Pupils often think that some jobs are gendered - e.g. tractor drivers or lifeboat crew are men.
Model jobs being done by a variety of people showing diversity where appropriate, in terms of gender, age, ethnicity and ability.
